Oakland has yet to be challenged this season, but that figures to change this week when the Patriots travel to Germantown Friday night.
Oakland has scored 214 points in victories over Hendersonville, Kenwood and Siegel, but the Patriots will face one of the best teams in the Memphis area Week 4.
The Patriots might not be afforded the luxury of pulling starters early, but they nonetheless should stay unblemished this season. Pick: Oakland 31, Germantown 14.
Blackman at Independence: The Blaze (1-2) are coming off a 65-0 whipping of Coffee County after losing to Alcoa and Ravenwood the first two weeks of the season. Blackman's offense needs to be sharp against Independence, which has shown the ability to put up points. Pick: Blackman 24, Independence 21.
Cane Ridge at Stewarts Creek: This one is a key region game for Stewarts Creek, which is off to a 3-0 start. Cane Ridge, meanwhile, is 1-2 but has played a difficult schedule. If the Red Hawks are looking for another statement game like their one against Mt. Juliet, this is it. Pick: Cane Ridge 21, Stewarts Creek 20.
Riverdale at Smyrna: Riverdale is off to a 3-0 start, while Smyrna is coming off its first win of the season. The Bulldogs have made significant improvements since their first game but won't have enough firepower to hold off the Warriors. Pick: Riverdale 35, Smyrna 13.
Centennial at Siegel: The Stars are still looking for their first win of the season, but Friday's night's matchup is hardly favorable. Despite losing big to Independence last week, Centennial still appears to be a playoff team while Siegel is still trying to find its way. Pick: Centennal 30, Siegel 14.
Lebanon at La Vergne: The Wolverines are 2-1 and coming off a 68-0 region win at Antioch. This should be an evenly matched games, so turnovers will ultimately be the key. Pick: La Vergne 20, Lebanon 17.
* Clarksville at Rockvale: The Rockets are still looking for the program's first win after a heartbreaking 36-35 loss at Warren County last week. Turnovers were a big problem and the defense continues to give up too many big plays. However, their big-play offense has made things interesting. Pick: Clarksville 45, Rockvale 28.
DCA at MTCS: The Cougars are also looking for their first win after playing a brutal early schedule. It likely won't be an easier this week against a solid DCA team. Pick: DCS 35, MTCS 20.
Eagleville at Pickett County: The Eagles face a long road trip this week after dropping their region opener to Forrest last Friday. Pickett County is 1-2 after dropping its last two games. Pick: Eagleville 28, Pickett County 21.
Last week: 7-2; Season: 22-6
