Siegel's Golliver, McCrary lead All-County Softball Team

Rutherford County proved to be one of the top softball hot spots in the state this year as Siegel and Blackman waged battle throughout the season.

In the end, it was Siegel that got the final upper hand, and it rolled into the state tournament and finished with a runner-up finish for the second time in the last four years at Spring Fling.

Leading the way was junior pitcher Sophie Golliver, who is The Murfreesboro Post Pitcher of the Year. She finished the year with a 1.20 ERA and 34-6 record.

Teammate Caitlyn McCrary is the Player of the Year after hitting 17 home runs and batting over .520.

Siegel's Shawn Middleton is the Coach of the Year after guiding the Lady Stars to the second-place finish.
