Siegel's boys win TSSAA state cross country championship

Siegel's boys won the TSSAA state cross country meet Saturday at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.

The Stars posted the top time of 1 hours, 23 minutes and 2.95 seconds to best Bartlett (1:25:11.25) and Central Magnet (1:25:12.50). The Stars average time per runner was 16:36.59.

Siegel junior Canaan Anderson posted the team's time at 16:13.02 to finish 10th overall, while junior Seth Robinson (17th place) finished in 16:31.59.

Sophomore Tucker Moss (21st) finished in 16:35.30, Dylan Bennett (23rd) posted a time of 16:35.39 and sophomore Ben Tickle (39th) came in at 17:03.15. Junior Emilio Vernon also finished in 17:18.16.

In finishing third, Central Magnet junior Eli Callender (40th) came in at 17:04.67, followed by sophomore Lance Garcia (17.15.88), junior Landry Wells (16.22.47), senior Gray Pullias (17:27.29) and senior Carson Sheumaker (17.47.44)

Individually, Stewarts Creek senior Andrew Nau finished 18th with a time of 16:33.82 and Riverdale junior Eli Cramer was 38th in 17:02.76. Oakland sophomore Jack Parmer was 46th in 17:11.67.

Siegel's girls placed 10th overall and Oakland placed 14th.

Individually, Central Magnet freshman Samantha Ouellette placed eighth (19:07.65) and Oakland senior Breja Hooks finished 10th (19:13.94).

Siegel freshman Ella Phillips was 17th (19:28.64) and Oakland junior Kayleigh McIntyre finished 50th (20:38.48),
