Rutherford County basketball games to see this week

The District 7-AAA basketball race got more intriguing last week as Oakland's boys defeated previously undefeated Blackman before losing its first game against Siegel.

The three teams are now tied atop the standings with one loss apiece heading into this week's action.

On Tuesday, Siegel will look to continue its hot shooting of late when it visits Blackman in a game that will certainly be important in terms of tournament seeding.

On the girls side, Stewarts Creek will look to stay in third place when it visits fourth-place Oakland.

Eagleville's girls also play an important 9-A game against Moore County at home.

On Friday, Blackman's boys visit La Vergne, which is in fourth place in the standings.

A much-improved Rockvale girls team will look for its fourth district win of the season at Smyrna, and Oakland's boys will face La Vergne at home in another important league game.
