Rockvale High School football coach Rick Rice confirmed Wednesday that six freshmen football players have been quarantined after one tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
"It turned out it was only six kids," Rice said. "We suspended practice Tuesday and Wednesday, and we just closed it down the rest of the week because the kid that had been tested had come back positive.
"We found out that five or six kids are going to be quarantined, but we'll come back Monday and start practice again.
"Those kids will be quarantined for 14 days and come back with us on Aug. 14 if they can. We've done what we're supposed to. We've shut it down all week, and we'll get them back with the freshmen bunch the next week."
