The Blaze remained in the hunt for the final Region 3 playoff berth with the road victory.

Blackman (3-5 overall, 2-2 in region play) must win at Cookeville Friday to reach the postseason.

The Blaze wasted little time in taking control against it built an early two-touchdown lead.

Drew Beam threw for three touchdowns, all to Todd Lark, who finished with more than 180 yards receiving. Andrew Hudson-Jackson also rushed for 140 yards and a score.

"Based on watching film, they (Siegel) play really hard and getting better each and every week," Blackman coach Kit Hartsfield said. "I thought our O-line stepped up to the plate and our tailbacks were breaking tackles. They had been doing a really good job stopping the run.

"I feel like we got back to our mentality. Of course, that opened up the passing game."
