Siegel's volleyball team stayed alive in the TSSAA state tournament by defeating Station Camp in three sets (25-18, 25-17,25-21) on Wednesday.
"We want Brentwood in the finals," Siegel senior captain Laura Howell said.
"We have to come together and play for each other if we want to see Brentwood again," Siegel senior hitter Jaida Clark added.
In the first set, Siegel came out on fire, jumping out on top early 9-5 before the Bison rallied to tie it at 12-12.
A dink and dunk by Taylor Sanders made it 17-12. A kill by Emma Titus of Station Camp kept the same deficit at 18-13 before Siegel had a kill from Howell to make it 23-17.
"We did not pass and serve very well," Station Camp coach Molly Yarbrough said. "We did better in the third set. They would not let us run our offense."
The second set featured the serving of Howell, Laura Wessner and June Padilla, who gave the Stars an early 10-2 lead.
The third set was more even with 13 ties, but Siegel would not be denied as it advanced for a rematch of a 2019 sectional won by Cookeville.
"I am proud of my team. We did to them (Station Camp) what Maryville did to us yesterday," Siegel coach Trish Flowers said. "All I am worried about is the noon match with Cookeville on Thursday,"
Siegel improved to 31-7 on the season, while Station camp finished 27-4.
