No. 1 Oakland used its playmakers to build a big halftime lead and a 49-10 road victory against South Pittsburg on Thursday night.
The Patriots trailed 7-0 early but scored 35 straight points for a 28-point halftime lead.
Oakland quarterback Kade Hewitt tossed two touchdowns, and Georgia Commitment Jordan James scored twice on the ground.
Senior receiver and Miami commitment Isaiah Horton scored a touchdown, and he also threw a 64-yard pass on a gadget play for a touchdown to Khalil James.
Oakland can clinch the outright region title Friday night when it travels to Rockvale.
