Blackman's Middle School girls and boys stayed hot to improve to 4-0 on the season last week.

The Lady Flames dealt Christiana a 45-12 loss behind 19 points form Lyriq Mastin, who delivered 14 of her points in the first eight minutes of play.

In boys action, Blackman defeated Christiana 45-34.

Jocie Scott and Kaelyn Flowers contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively, in a last-second 45-42 road win against Rock Springs.

In boys play, CJ Goers' last-second shot was the difference maker in Blackman’s 39-38 thriller.

* Whitworth-Buchanan's Yellow Jackets boys recovered from a tough Week 1 with well-earned Week 2 sweep of Rock Springs and Christiana.

The Yellow Jackets’ Malachi Gilliam poured in 23 points en route to a 57-51 win. Rock Springs’ Carter Broussard scored 24 in the losing effort. Gilliam scored another 12 points during Thursday night’s 48-39 defeat over Christiana. EJ Turner tallied a game-high 18 points for the Yellow Jackets.

* Siegel and Oakland’s boys and girls squads remain undefeated in conference play.

Siegel's Lady Cavaliers took down La Vergne 26-12 while the boys defeated the Hawks 37-21 loss behind 11 points from Mac Moss.

Oakland won in convincing fashion over Smyrna Middle. The Chargers outscored the Lady Panthers 53-3, while the boys won over the Panthers 63-13.
