MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) invites the public to attend a meeting on November 20, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m., regarding the Proposed Plan for the Airport Landfill, Sewage Treatment Plant Landfill, and Former Fire Training Area at the Former Sewart Air Force Base (AFB), Smyrna, Tennessee. The meeting will be held in the 2nd floor conference room at the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority office located at 278 Doug Warpoole Road in Smyrna, TN 37167.

The Proposed Plan presents the No Action determination for the landfills and fire training area at the Former Sewart AFB. The Proposed Plan is located in the Administrative Record for the Former Sewart AFB, and is available for viewing at the Smyrna Public Library, 400 Enon Springs Road West, Smyrna, TN 37167 and from any computer or cellular telephone using the following link: https://www.sam.usace. army.mil/Media/News-Stories/Article/2011580/us-army-corps-of-engineers-formerly-used-defense- sites-program-proposed-plan/.
