Notice is hereby given that separate Public Hearings before the City Council of the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, in said City on Thursday, August 23, 2018, beginning at 7:00 o’clock p.m. for the purpose of considering Resolution 18-R-PS- 45, Resolution 18-R-A-45, and Ordinance 18-OZ-45 for (1) the proposed Plan of Services for and annexation of the territory identified on the attached map as “Area to be Annexed” and (2) zoning for the territory identified on the attached map as “Area to be Zoned RS-A2,” which territory adjoins the present corporate boundaries of the City. ADVERTISEMENT - (LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS)

A Request for Proposals for a Design/Build, subject to the conditions herein, will be received until 11:00 a.m., Local Central Time, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, by the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority at the Smyrna Airport Terminal and Business Center 2nd floor Conference Room for furnishing all design, labor, and materials and performing all work connected with following project:

“Hangar 692 Project”
TDOT Aeronautics Division (TAD) Project No. – AERO-18-298-00

The project involves construction of a hangar approximately 20,900 sq. ft. in size with 2,000 sq. ft. of attached office / shop space and associated automobile parking for 85 vehicles.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Proposal meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m., Local Central Time on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at the Smyrna Airport Terminal and Business Center Conference Room for the purposes of obtaining information about the project and reviewing the project site. Attendance will be logged along with contact information, for the purposes of distributing any addenda and written responses to questions which may be issued.

A 100% Contract Bond will be required.

The Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to waive any informalities, and technicalities in the bids received and to accept any proposal which in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the Authority.

Prospective bidders should read the instructions for preparing the Request for Proposal carefully before submitting their proposal and must supply all the information required therein within the time limits specified.

The Design/Build team must have at their disposal the necessary equipment to put on the project when notice is given to begin work and to do the work within a time specified.

The complete examination and understanding of the Site and Description is necessary in order for the bidder to properly submit a proposal.

Time limit for completion of the work is as shown on the request for proposal.

The successful Design/Build team shall hold and save harmless the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority from liability in connection with patents.

All Design/Build team contractors and subcontractors must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractor’s Licensing Act of 1976, T.C.A. 62-6-101, et.seq.
