Jack John Wylie




Jack John Wylie, age 91, of Smyrna, TN passed away Sunday, May 7, 2018.

He was born in Detroit, MI to the late John and Thelma Blevins Wylie. Mr. Wylie proudly served his country in the United States Navy in the Pacific theater toward the end of the war. He worked for Porter Paints and Wall Coverings for over 38 years in territory sales. Mr. Wylie and his wife enjoyed fishing for crappie. He coached his children’s baseball teams and made the Smyrna community a better place. Mr. Wylie attended Division Street and Highland Heights Church of Christ.

 

Mr. Wylie is survived by his children, Ramona Cowan and her husband David of Hudson, FL, Richard Wylie of Smyrna, TN, Reba Wylie and her life partner Marie Orton of Brooksville, FL, Roger Wylie of Smyrna, and Robin Wylie, Sr. of Smyrna; grandchildren, Bobby Migliore and his wife Miranda, Jonathan Wylie, Amber Pryor, Chelsea Wylie, Robin Wylie, Jr. and his wife Lindsey, Taylor Wylie, Mallory Wylie, and Christopher Willemin; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kailyn, Gavin, Reagan, Carson, Brady, Cain, and Miranda; sister, Virginia Tyronne of Paw Paw, MI; as well as numerous nieces and nephews on the Wylie side of the family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Wylie; a son, Randall Kevin Wylie; brother, Robert Wylie; and three sisters, Helen Cawley, Ruth Sassi, and June Michniak.

 

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 5 until 6 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
