Earl Melvin Treece




Earl Melvin Treece, age 89, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016.

Born in Clairborne Co., TN, he is the husband of the late Florence Evelyn Mabe and the son of the late William Herbert Treece and Nora Leonia Wilcox.

Visitation for Mr. Treece will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m, Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 with Brother Terry Wilkerson to officiate.

All will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

He is survived by his sister Opal Cardwell, his daughter Lynda Schulz and his son-in-law Kenneth J. Schulz of Murfreesboro, TN, three grandchildren James and Krystal Schulz of New Vine, KY, Jason Schulz and Stephanie Schulz of Murfreesboro, ten great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his dear friend Dessie Fuller.

He graduated from Claiborne Co. High School and served in the Korean War. After returning from war he worked as an electrician at the Ford Motor Company for 30 years in Monroe, Michigan. After retiring from Ford Motor Company he relocated back to the place of his childhood, Tennessee.

Mr. Treece was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Jesse, and a sister, Jean Billingsley.
