A Smyrna man is behind bars after being arrested for the 2014 homicide of Danny J. Wright, the Town of Smyrna said in a press release.

Enrique Dane Decourcey, 30, is charged with criminal homicide, Smyrna said. On the morning of Aug. 7, 2014, Danny J. Wright was working on a vehicle in the driveway of 109 Kings Road in Smyrna when he was shot multiple times at near point-blank range. A masked suspect fled the scene in a light-colored, late-model vehicle.

Officers have investigated this case for the past four years in cooperation with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations. This investigation culminated in today’s arrest, Smyrna said.

A December 2014 Murfreesboro Post story said the Town of Smyrna, the Smyrna Police Department and Rutherford County Crime Stoppers offered a $6,000 reward in the case. The Town of Smyrna did not say if that reward has been claimed.
