Goodall Homes expands to Murfreesboro

Goodall Homes, an award-winning home builder from Gallatin, has expanded to Murfreesboro.

“Murfreesboro is one of the fastest growing markets in the United States,” said Kelvey Benward, sales manager. “For over 30 years, we’ve built new homes in Davidson, Williamson, Wilson, Sumner and Robertson counties. We’re excited about the growth in Rutherford County and the opportunity to build new homes in Murfreesboro.”

In 2016, Clayton, one of America’s largest homebuilders, bought Goodall Homes. Goodall is the second site-built housing company to become part of Maryville-based Clayton, a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway. Clayton, through its site-building arm, Clayton Properties, entered the site-built housing market to expand its portfolio of housing options to homebuyers.

The company’s website says it has become the second largest homebuilder in Middle Tennessee. Its recognitions include multiple listings in the top 10 of Nashville Business Journal’s “Fastest Growing Private Companies” and the National Home Builder of the Year Award in 2014.

Locally, the company is working on The Cottages of Valleybrook. Construction of the Compton Road property started in April. The Raleigh floorplan model will be ready in September, and the first homeowners will move in by October, Benward said. The one-level courtyard cottages will sell from $239,000 to $280,475. Sizes are 1,411 to 2,107 square feet. Amenities include a pool with clubhouse, open space, sidewalks, landscaping package, two-car rear-entry garages and courtyard patios.

Goodall will start developing Laurelstone off Lascassas Pike in late fall or early winter. The cottages and villas will go on sale in spring 2019.
