Murfreesboro Police Department detectives are trying to track down the men who allegedly have pulled off high-dollar jewelry heists at Sam’s Clubs from Tennessee to Illinois, including one in Murfreesboro on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Officers responded to an alarm call from Sam’s Club, 125 John R. Rice Blvd., around 1:11 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the front sliding and interior doors had been busted out.

Two men were captured on video allegedly stealing jewelry from display cases, stuffing the items into two large bags, police said. They got away with more than $147,000 worth of jewelry, making it the largest of the heists.

The men were last seen running from the store towards a nearby apartment complex.

The individuals visited the store the day before to allegedly case out the jewelry counter, police said. They only spent three minutes inside the store. They were seen leaving in an older model gold Lincoln Navigator.
