A fire destroyed a collection of antique automobiles in an outdoor storage shed near Veteran’s Parkway last week.

An unidentified resident in the area notified first responders around 1 p.m. last Wednesday, according to an email from Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Lisa Marchesoni.

The fire department believes that there were seven cars parked on the property at 3034 Fieldview Dr., according to an email from Rutherford County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Ashley McDonald. She said all of the cars and the storage shed have been declared a total loss.

No information has been provided about the owner of the collection, and there are no reported injuries.

Fire crews remained on the site for around three and a half hours.

It is not known what caused the flames to engulf the shed. The county’s Fire and Arson Investigation Unit is investigating the incident, which it believes to be accidental, according to McDonald.
