Charity Circle of Murfreesboro recently announced its 2021-2022 board of directors, including Patti Hutchinson as president.
Hutchinson, a former educator in the Murfreesboro City School system, most recently led Charity Circle’s Special Projects Committee, which recommends funding to local agencies as well as developing benefactor relationships.
“The Charity Circle of Murfreesboro was able to grant more than $400,000 last year to local agencies, with a focus on food, clothing, shelter and medicine insecurities,” Hutchinson said in a news release. “Our new board of directors represents a talented group of women, and I am honored to lead such a historic and meaningful organization.”
In addition to Hutchinson, the other 2021-2022 board members are: Anne Davis; Kathy Huddleston; Joan Kellermann; Amy Farrar; Kristin Demos; Beth Binkley; Libby Long Taylor; Pam Kious; Mary Francis; Malinda Kidd; Rachel Haynes; Meagan Flippin; Bailey Galloway; Stacey McCullough; and Rebecca Few.
Charity Circle grants funds quarterly to nine agencies: The Child Advocacy Center, Community Helpers of Rutherford County, the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center, Doors of Hope, Good Shepherd Children’s Home, the Ann Campbell Early Learning Center, Nourish Food Bank, Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center, and The Journey Home.
This year’s Duck Ball fundraiser, typically held in April, is expected to be held in late summer or early fall.
