Author Michael McDonald will have a book signing on Saturday, Nov. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. at Linebaugh Public Library, 105 W. Vine St. in Murfreesboro. McDonald will be signing copies of his books “Living a Boyz Adventure Tale” and “College Life 101”. Both books are practical guides for future college students.
The 47th Annual Exchange Club of Murfreesboro “One Nation Under God” Community Breakfast will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 6:30-8 a.m. The Embassy Suites Murfreesboro, 1200 Conference Center Blvd. in Murfreesboro. Christmas At Oaklands Mansion Tours will be held Dec. 11, 12, 18, 19, 2020 at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. with admission of $20 for adults and students ages 12 or older and $10 for children ages 6-11. All tickets must be purchased in advance at oaklandsmansion.org. There are a limited number of tickets available for each night. A timeslot for a tour must also be reserved.
Pet Adoption & Welfare Services (PAWS) shelter is looking for foster volunteers to give care to kittens and puppies outside the shelter, reducing their chances of coming in contact with illnesses or diseases until they are at a healthy state and age to come back to the shelter to be spayed or neutered and placed up for adoption. The Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church Food Pantry, located at 1601 N. Tennessee Blvd. in Murfreesboro, is open to the public every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon.
