The Rutherford County Retired Teachers Association is hosting a Pre-Retirement Seminar for employees of any education system on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 4:30-6 p.m. The seminar will be conducted online by Ryan Marlin, Retirement Plan Advisor, Retire ReadyTN. The seminar is for anyone who will retire under the state retirement plan. Pet Adoption & Welfare Services (PAWS) shelter is looking for foster volunteers to give care to kittens and puppies outside the shelter, reducing their chances of coming in contact with illnesses or diseases until they are at a healthy state and age to come back to the shelter to be spayed or neutered and placed up for adoption. The Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church Food Pantry, located at 1601 N. Tennessee Blvd. in Murfreesboro, is open to the public every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon.
