Oaklands Mansion Wedding Dresses Through the Decades Exhibit will be held Jan. 17-March 1 at the mansion at 900 N. Maney Ave. in Murfreesboro. More than 50 gowns and wedding ring quilts will be exhibited. The exhibit will be open daily, Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is $10 per person.

Take Root Community Luncheon to benefit The Journey Home’s Supportive Housing Program will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 116 N. Academy St. in Murfreesboro. The keynote speaker is scheduled to be Kathy Izard, author of “The Hundred Story Home,” a memoir of her efforts to build housing for the homeless in Charlotte, N.C.
