The inaugural ‘Boro Cookie Bash was held to raise money for Mid-Cumberland Meals on Wheels. Each person who attended took home a baker’s dozen of cookies made by local bakeries and restaurants. All ticket holders also received two pints of MTSU Dairy milk. Pets were remembered as well. Santa’s Little Helper Treat Boxes were filled with treats from Doggie’s Day Out, Licker and Whine Pet Market and Nom Noms Dog Treat. Additional Santa’s Little Helper Boxes will be delivered to Meals on Wheels recipients with pets.

“The ‘Boro Cookie Bash brought together two things the people of Murfreesboro love — nonprofits and eating,” event organizer Leslie Yost said. “What’s more perfect than a homemade cookie?  One you don’t have to bake yourself that benefits a great cause.”
