The Great Tennessee Air Show presented by Nissan has announced its lineup of performers appearing Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 at Smyrna Airport.

The U.S. Navy’s top demonstration team, The Blue Angels, returns to headline this year’s air show in its six iconic blue and gold F-18 Hornets for their only appearance in the Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama region.

Representing the U.S. Air Force, the show will also feature The F-16 Viper Demonstration Team.

National aerobatic champions Mike Wiskus, Patty Wagstaff and Rob Holland are set to perform. For the first time in Tennessee, Sean D. Tucker will be performing in Team Oracle’s Two Ship Act with Jesse Panzer of the U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Team.

The distinct rumble of World War II era engines will take to the skies with Scott “Scooter” Yoak in his Quick Silver P-51 and the T-6 Texan demonstration team, The Geico Skytypers.

“Once again, we are privileged and honored to be hosting the U.S. Navy Blue Angels at this premier Middle Tennessee event,” Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority Executive Director John Black said.
