Zane Bell, 62, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, after a battle with cancer earlier this year.
He fought an amazing fight and was the strongest man anyone could imagine.
Mr. Bell is survived by his amazing and loving wife of the past three years Barbara Bell along with his eight kids. Michelle Lynn Bell, Rebecca Anne Bell, Jimmy Bell, Leslie Bell, Julie Bell, Mike Fletcher, Jennifer Farmer and Isaac Bell. He also has thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild along with three sisters.
Mr. Bell had worked for Siegel High School as head of maintenance for the past six years. He loved his job and thought of his co-workers and faculty of the school as extended family. Mr. Bell was always going the extra mile for everyone at the school. Siegel High School will greatly miss him.
Mr. Bell had an extremely loving marriage and his love for her brought out the best in him. Barbara took extremely great care of him during his illness. As a couple they loved going on the boat with friends, watching Alabama Football and yard work. They were always laughing and just enjoyed one another’s company. He was a great man, friend, and father; although he might be gone he will not be forgotten. Mr. Bell made a lasting impression on many people and was extremely funny, loving and compassionate man.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mike Bivens will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before celebration of his life. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. www.woodfinchapel.com
