The Maple Street Craft Fair will take place at YEAH (114 S. Maple Street, Murfreesboro) on Saturday, May 1 from 9am - 5pm.
MARC (Murfreesboro Artists Resource Collective) is co-sponsoring the event. They're a new organization in town seeking to bring together Murfreesboro artists and create opportunities for them by organizing events just like this.
All vendors will be local artists, including volunteers and teen members of YEAH. If shopping local doesn't make you feel good enough, 15% of all sales at The Maple Street Craft Fair will be donated to YEAH.
The Maple Street Craft Fair was organized to provide local artists with an opportunity to sell their work, but it was also put together to help teach students at YEAH about ways they can make money as artists. We hope the students participating in the fair are able to learn through experience that there are ways to make money as an artist.
So, come on over to The Maple Street Craft Fair, meet local crafters, encourage young artists, browse, buy some drinks to support YEAH or baked goods to support MARC. Either way, you're supporting a creative connected community for kids and adults. And, stick around for the raffle!
