Woodard B. Messick, 77, of Antioch, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Beechgrove to the late Tom and Rochelle Messick and a longtime resident of Antioch.

Mr. Messick was preceded in death by his parents, stepson, Johnny Kirk, brother, Roy Messick, sisters, Margaret Newman and Ruby Hunter. He is survived by his wife, Helen Messick of Antioch; son, Rickey Messick of Antioch; step children, Ray Kirk of Antioch; Brenda Winters of Nunley, TN; Linda Coakley of Old Hickory; Nancy Richardson of La Vergne; Terry Wayne Kirk of Antioch; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
