Women’s Health Luncheon to be held at MTMC

Middle Tennessee Medical Center will hold a Women’s Health Luncheon on May 26 with a presentation by Dr. Brad Chesney, OBGYN, with the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic.

Chesney will discuss common gynecologic problems that are sometimes treated with surgery. The presentation will focus on several different approaches for treating women’s health issues, highlighting the da Vinci robotic surgery option.

The da Vinci surgical system is an advanced, minimally invasive robotic technology now available at MTMC. “The da Vinci robotic option is exciting because it offers the patient the potential for significant reductions in pain, blood loss and recovery periods,” says Chesney. “Most patients are able to leave the hospital on the day of surgery and return to work within 10 days.”

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. with an opportunity to speak with a local dietician. Those attending will also have a chance to view the da Vinci robot and hear a patient testimonial. Lunch will be served at noon followed by a presentation. The luncheon will be held in the Hastings Conference Room in the Bell Street Building, located at 509 E. Bell Street.
