A Murfreesboro woman was killed Sunday morning when she was ejected from a vehicle on I-24 around 3:30 in the morning.
Kathleen Davenport, 26, was a passenger, while Blake Rutledge, 31, of Rockvale was driving. He was life flighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center with serious injuries.
According to the police report, Rutledge was driving a Chevy Tahoe wesbound when it ran off the road and hit the median. The driver overcorrected back on the road and the vehicle then flipped several times.
Police believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.
