Another woman avoided a home invasion with some quick thinking.
Jessica Martin, 32, of North Walnut Street, heard someone kick her back door at nearly 1 a.m. Monday.
She went to investigate the noise only to find a white male in a light-colored shirt wearing a ski mask inside her broken back door.
The unidentified man pointed a shotgun at her and told her to get down. But she ran to her bedroom, locked the door and opened her window to yell for help.
The suspect ran out her front door to a gray or tan Nissan and fled the scene.
