Woman charged after embezzling hundreds of thousands

LA VERGNE - A former employee of Grey’s Used Auto Parts was arrested on Friday, following a detailed investigation by the La Vergne Police Department.

“Ms. Ison was booked in the Rutherford County Detention Center,” said Detective Kevin Stolinsky, who specializes in financial crimes. “What happens next is in the hands of the district attorney and the judicial system.”

Amber Ison, 20, was charged with theft over $250,000, a class A felony.

She is accused of taking approximately $340,000 from the business, located at 151 Jefferson Pike in La Vergne, over the past 17 months.
