Woman accused of striking boyfriend with frying pan

TMP Reports

One woman allegedly struck her boyfriend in the face with a frying pan and bit him during an argument over tools Tuesday morning at their home, a sheriff’s deputy reported.

Boyfriend Victor D. Brown, 50, of Major Drive suffered a red mark below his left eye and bled from a small bite wound on his hand, Deputy David Foote reported. Brown accused girlfriend Jennilyn Lynch of striking his face and biting his right hand.

Lynch told Foote she drank earlier. When she and Brown got into an argument, Lynch said he pushed her to the floor and stepped on her chest.

“When she got to her feet, she grabbed the frying pan and hit Mr. Brown with it in self-defense,” Foote reported. “Ms. Lynch stated that after she hit Mr. Brown with the pan, she attempted to call 911 but Mr. Brown tried to take the phone away from her. Ms. Lynch states that she bit Mr. Brown’s hand so that he would let go of the phone.”

She didn’t have any visible injuries but complained of her ribs hurting.

Lynch is on probation for a domestic assault conviction earlier this year. She had two prior domestic assault arrests.

Due to the circumstances, Foote charged Lynch, 49, of Major Drive with domestic assault. She was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing is set Jan. 14.
