Winifred “Winnie” Sutton, 87, of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, January
29, 2010 at Peachtree Nursing Home. Mrs. Sutton was born in Birmingham,
AL to the late Willie and Tina Vasser Cox. For 28 years she worked with AT
& T and attended World Outreach Church.
Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Samuel James
Williams and James Alexander Sutton; son-in-law, Larry Bob Benson; sister,
Doris Baur. She is survived by her daughter; Carolyn Benson of
Murfreesboro; son, Samuel James (Nancy) Williams of San Diego, CA; four
grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 9:30 am
until the Funeral Service at 10:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Burial to be at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.
