Middle Tennessee will see wind chill readings around zero tonight and into Saturday morning.
This arctic blast came on the heels of snow showers Thursday that ended in an accumulation of 0.3 inches in Murfreesboro and closer to half-an-inch in Nashville.
According to the National Weather Service, scattered flurries and patches of light snow will continue across the mid-state Friday night as temperatures drop through the teens.
Partly cloudy, with a low around 9. Wind chill values as low as zero. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.
Saturday’s and Sunday’s highs should reach into the mid to upper 20s with winds around 5 miles per hour.
The weather should turn around at the beginning of the week, when temperatures soar to a high near 40 degrees on Monday.
