Mr. Gehringer attended World Outreach Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Gehringer is survived by his wife, Edie Gehringer; sons, Bradley Gehringer of Ky.; Zachary P. Gehringer of WV; daughters, Elizabeth Gehringer of Murfreesboro; Rebecca Hockley of Christiana; brother, Carl Gehringer of Ky.; mother, Helen Louise McCormick Gehringer of Ky.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at 1:30pm at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dexter, Ga., with Bro. Keith Hall officiating and with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers family ask for donations to be made to the Patriot Guard or Wounded Warriors Project.
