William H. Curlee, age 78, passed away at Middle Tennessee Medical Center on Jan. 1, 2010. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. William retired from the Rutherford County Highway Department and served in the U.S. Army.
William was preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Nancy Stem Curlee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Forest Vaughn Curlee of Smyrna, daughter, Katherine White of Smyrna, sisters; Rachel Watson, Dorothy Lokey and Elizabeth Scott all of Murfreesboro, grandchildren; Marcie Elliott, Amanda Baxter and Karen "Sweetie" Watkins, and great-grandchildren; Chelsey, Jeffrey, Lexi, Stormy, and Cheyenne.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the McClaren Cemetery with Charlie Wright officiating.
