Will Neil Gregory Watts, age 87, passed away peacefully Saturday March 1, 2014 at Adams Place. Mrs. Watts was born in Decherd, TN, and was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Sadie Beasley Gregory. She grew up in Nashville, TN, where she excelled at Lipscomb Elementary through junior college, and graduated from George Peabody College with her degree in Art. A talented artist, she taught art at Howard School for two years.

In 1948, Mrs. Watts married her high school sweetheart, Exum D. Watts, and began a 65 year marriage recognized by all who have known them as a benchmark of mutual love, respect and devotion. She was a much loved mother and grandmother.A faithful Christian, she was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ, where she taught children’s bible school classes for many years and supported many other programs such as Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Watts is survived by her husband, Exum D. Watts; daughter Ellen Watts; son Greg Watts and his wife, Gwen all of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter in law; Gretchen B. Watts of Nashville, TN; and cherished grandchildren; Elizabeth Watts, Kathryn-Claire Watts, and Hannah Neil Watts; sister, Rebecca Gregory Daimwood of Columbia, TN.Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her son, Charles Exum Watts, and siblings, Charles (Buddy) Gregory, Mary Baker Gregory Cayce, James T. Gregory, Isham Gregory, Betty Gregory Turner, Sadie Gregory Billingsley, and Ellis B. Gregory.Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Brother Steve Blackman and Bill Sloan will officiate. Andrew Leeper will lead the singing. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. The following will serve as pallbearers, Jerry Campbell, J. R. Ivey, Bill Griggs, Jerry Link, Greg Daimwood, Billly Brimm, and Mike Turner.The family would like to thank the staff of Adams Place for their loving care for the last three years. Memorials may be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund in memory of Mrs. Watts. WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 615-893-5151.
