It’s still early and six months away, but Bonnaroo message boards and its Twitter page has been leaking a few clues for speculation.
Of course we won’t know any official details until the initial artist announcement, which is usually in February, but some signs point to high-caliber acts.
One of them being the biggest name in rock-n-roll, The Rolling Stones. That is if the “bigger bang” tweet is correct.
Other tweets reference “jokerman” which could be Bob Dylan while “la-la-la-lies” could pinpoint to The Who.
While “big pimpin, spending cheese” must definitely be an allusion to hip-hop crooner Jay-Z.
I would also speculate that the “further” reference is talking about The Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir’s new group.
There are a few other clues and tweets that are relevant but it’s anyone’s guess now. Even though rumors still abound ranging from Kings of Leon and Dave Matthews Band all the way to Prince and David Bowie, it is still an exciting time for Tennessee music fans.
