The Stewarts Creek girls and the Christiana boys won the three-day junior varsity tournament last week, hosted by Whitworth-Buchanan Middle School in Murfreesboro.
Brinae Alexander from Stewarts Creek received the MVP award.
Three other girls from the Stewarts Creek team were named: Morgen Mcrary, Taylor Vaughn and Kinsli Houck.
Chantel Maxwell, Ja’Leah Goff and Josie Spivey from Blackman also placed, as well as Morgan Parks and Sydney Smith from Central Magnet.
Other all-tournament players were Savannah Dye and Lexus Story of Rockvale, Victoria Miller and Da’Kori Lockridge of La Vergne, Sydney Blankenship of Whitworth-Buchanan, Tigger Tigg from Rock Springs, Maleia Gray from Oakland, Erica Lillard from Smyrna and Amanda Whittington from Christiana.
Kenny Strawbridge from the unbeaten Christiana boys earned the MVP award.
Teammates Gentry Bonds, Rodney Murray and Lazarius Patterson were also selected.
In addition, Brayden Jackson, Kristan Mtetwa and Devin Simms of Stewarts Creek, and Kareen Aaron and Davonte Harris from Oakland also placed, as well as Bryce Williams and Maleik Grey from La Vergne, James Franklin from Rock Springs, Brennan Robinson from Whitworth-Buchanan, Brendan Moore from Smyrna, Denilson Whitmore from Siegel, Trent Gibson from Blackman and Nathan Nelson from Central. |
