National Championship Horse Show
The National Walking Horse Association National Championship Horse Show runs through Saturday night at Miller Coliseum on Thompson Lane.
The decade old organization prides itself on zero tolerance for soring horses.
The show begins at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Found Footage Festival
The Found Footage Festival is a live comedy event and screening featuring odd and hilarious clips from videotapes found at thrift stores and garage sale an in warehouses and dumpsters throughout the country.
The free festival takes place at 7 p.m. Friday in the KUC Theater on MTSU’s campus.

Oaklands Museum
Widows, Weepers and Wakes: Mourning Customs Exhibit begins this weekend at Oaklands Historic House Museum.
The historic house is decorated with Victorian Mourning customs and can be explored by visitors all month long.

Theater
Murfreesboro Little Theater stages Everyday Heroes, an original comedy by Tony Lehew, about a bar family and the drinks that bind.
The play takes place at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults; $5 for seniors and students; and half-price tickets to MLT members.
Lamplighter’s Theater presents The Music Man at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at the Smyrna Assembly, 14119 Old Nashville Hwy.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for children ages 4-12.

Campfire Concert Series
Join Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation for the second annual Campfire Concert series featuring live trailside music by local musicians at the General Bragg Trailhead.
This week’s concert will feature Rachel Pearl, who won first place in the 2006 American Idol Underground Jazz Competition.
Music begins at 7:30 p.m. and s’mores and drinks will be available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for your own comfort.
