The jolly, old elf visits the Arts Center of Cannon County this Saturday.
Sanders Family Christmas
The Center for the Arts presents the sequel to Smoke on the Mountain directed by John Blankenship at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.
 
Conceived and directed by Alan Bailey and written by Connie Ray, A Sanders Family Christmas is a nostalgic comedy set to music and the second of three installments of the Sanders family’s life.

Returning to this season’s production are several Smoke on the Mountain veterans including David Cummings, who portrays Rev. Mervin Oglethorpe, John Blankenship, who is also directing, will return as Burl Sanders, Fran Gebuhr returns as Vera Sanders, David Winton as Dennis Sanders and Kristen Linton as Denise Sanders. New to the Center’s cast are Rachael Parker, playing the role of June Sanders, and David Blankenship as Stanley Sanders.

Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (65+), active military (with ID) and students (12-18 or with valid ID), and $10 for children under 12.

The Center for the Arts is located at 110 W. College St., one block off the historic Murfreesboro Square.

Breakfast With Santa
Santa visits the Arts Center of Cannon County this Saturday for a special breakfast with nice kids.

Santa has made his list and checked it twice and he's ready to discuss it with your child or grandchild, so gather your family and friends for a delightful morning and delicious breakfast buffet prepared by The Arts Center Cafe.

During breakfast, children will be treated to a personal visit with Santa where they can talk to him and share their Christmas wishes. Feel free to bring your camera to capture these special moments.
 
Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for grandparents and $10 for children.

NAACP Pancake Break Breakfast
A pancake breakfast will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28 at Applebee’s restaurant at 2896 S. Rutherford Blvd.
Tickets are $6 per person. The breakfast will benefit the Murfreesboro Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner
The entire community is encouraged to get together for this meal sponsored by God’s House of Promise, Murfreesboro Community Church, New Life Christian Church and True Victory Outreach Church Ministries all of Rutherford County.

The free Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Patterson Park Community Center on Mercury Boulevard.
