‘Mac & Alice!’ Murfreesboro Little Theater stages children’s versions of two classics this weekend with “Mac & Alice!”
“Mac” is a farce of William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” It combines the comedic stylings of Monty Python and Mel Brooks with this beloved tragedy - giving a new life to this classic English play.
The second play in the lineup is “Alice,” a children’s version of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.”
“Mac & Alice!” runs at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.

Arts Center of Cannon County On Friday, Fiddler Boyd Deering’s brings his original fiddle tunes to the Arts Center of Cannon County.
In addition, the evening will feature Jim and Inge Wood. This duo carries you on a brilliant musical journey of fiddle music and song.

On Saturday, Core Project Chicago makes its way to Woodbury, featuring media and dance performance works.
Called “Mother Tongues,” the performance is a multimedia, contemporary dance work exploring the kinetic genetics of mother-offspring relationships and their branches along the family tree.
Core Project Chicago is a movement based interdisciplinary arts collective pushing the boundaries of storytelling in Chicago. With a mission to empower communities through arts performance and education, the collaborative is committed to the exploration of the human journey through movement, music, video and text in live performance.
