International Grand Championship Walking Horse Show
One of the greatest walking horse shows in Tennessee concludes Friday night at Miller Coliseum.
The International Grand Championship Pleasure and Colt Walking Horse Show starts at 5 p.m. and names the grand champions in all categories.
A dog show will also be held at 10 a.m. Friday.

Stones River National Battlefield
Stones River National Battlefield will offer stories of the Civil War with A Soldier`s Story, The Line That Wouldn't Break, Living Under The Guns and A Ride Through History: A Caravan Tour of Stones River National Battlefield this weekend.
Rangers will also present the story of two unique units that played a key role in the Battle of Stones River during Rosecrans`s Gambit: The Pioneer Brigade and the Chicago Board of Trade Battery. This program will be presented hourly from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Murfreesboro Hot Rod Club
The Murfreesboro Hot Rod Club holds its weekly Cruise-In from 5-9 p.m. Friday at The Avenue in the Belk parking lot.
Step back to the rock’n roll era with DJ music, giveaways, prizes and fun. The club requests a donation of $1 that will go to local charities.
This fun event begins the first Friday in May and continues weekly (weather permitting) through the first Friday in October. Visit its Web site at www.4mhrc.net for more information.
Annual GOP Picnic
Rutherford County Republicans hold their annual GOP Picnic from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday at Barfield-Crescent Park.
State Party Chairman Chris Devaney is the speaker.
Republican gubernatorial candidates and local state senators and representatives will also be in attendance.
