Christmas at Cannonsburgh
Christmas at Cannonsburgh is an event intended to celebrate an old fashioned Christmas and Murfreesboro’s 200th Birthday.

Pictures with Santa, hot apple cider and a hayride will be featured during this event.

Murfreesboro City Schools will be performing in the Gazebo; Santa will be in the Leeman House; and a hayride will be the main entertainment.

The event is free and for all ages from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday night at Cannonsburgh Village,

Cannonsburgh Village is located at 312 South Front St., in Murfreesboro.

Bicentennial Christmas Parade
This year’s theme for the city’s annual parade is “A Bicentennial Christmas” with floats and entries representing Murfreesboro’s first 200 years.

The bicentennial focus on “Our Educators” will feature a one-room schoolhouse celebrating education in Murfreesboro. 

The parade, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, begins in front of the MTSU President’s home on East Main Street, goes to the Square, and ends on Walnut and West Main Street.

Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast
The Murfreesboro Rotary Club will be holding its 9th annual Pancake Breakfast from 7-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Middle Tennessee Christian School cafeteria.

Santa will be there for the kids, along with live music. Tickets are only $5 and may be purchased from any club member or at the door.

6:30 p.m. - Nunsense Dinner Theatre

7:30 p.m. - A Christmas Carol
Runs: at 7:30 Friday-Saturday nights and at 4:30 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 17. Admission: adults $10, seniors age 55+ $8, students age 13+ $8, children ages 4-12 $5. Friday
11 a.m.-1 p.m. - Eagleville Christmas Parade
Begins at Eagleville School, 500 Old Highway 99 in Eagleville, turns right onto Main Street and ends at New Town subdivision. eaglevilletimes.com.

1-5 p.m. - Bethlehem Marketplace
Continues through Sunday. Southeast Baptist Church, 708 Minerva Dr.

6-10 p.m. - Parents Night Out
Ages 3 & up Cost: $20 for one child, $10 each additional child. Members receive a $5 discount per family. Discovery Center at Murfree Springs, 502 SE Broad St. RSVP at 890-2300 or discoverycenteronline.org. Children must be potty trained.

Sunday
2-5 p.m. - Rutherford County Farmers’ Market
