Exchange Club Celebrity Waiters Dinner
The cast for the second annual Exchange Club Celebrity Waiters Dinner has been announced, according to Donna Gibson, Exchange Club of Murfreesboro president.

The Premiere of the Hollywood Themed Event is booked for 6 p.m. Thursday at Stone’s River Country Club to benefit the Exchange Club Family Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

The stars of the night will be Celebrity Waiters, who include Miss Tennessee USA 2011 Ashley Durham, Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2011 Kaitlin White, Astronaut Dr. Rhea Seddon, Channel 4’s Larry Flowers, MTSU Lady Raider coach Rick Insell and a star player, and MTSU men’s basketball coach Kermit Davis and a state player, as well as state and local politicians.

Channel 5’s Rhori Johnston will emcee the event and Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey will be the auctioneer for a live auction and silent auction will also be held.

Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the live auction starts at 8 p.m. Guests will be welcomed on the traditional Red Carpet by numerous “Hollywood Names.”

Individual Tickets are priced at $125, and a Table of eight is $800. For reservations, call 893-2067 or 849-5300.

The Exchange Club Family Center, located at 115 Heritage Park Drive in Murfreesboro, has been serving families in Rutherford County for over 20 years. Child Abuse Prevention was adopted as a National Project by the Exchange Clubs of America in 1979 and now serves the country through 100 Centers similar to the one in Murfreesboro.

Sunshine Players
Young thespians will tell of how the Easter Bunny was hopping along and hit in the head with an egg when the Sunshine Players put on its annual Easter play at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Patterson Park Community Center.

After the accident, the only thing the Easter Bunny remembers is that his name is Peter. And, with the help of his friends, he regains his memory.

Admission is $7.50 for adults; $6 for seniors (60+), students (age 4-17).

Flowers for Algeron
Swan Performing Arts Center, located at 1203 Park Ave., presents Flowers for Algernon at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.

This 1950’s production gives the public a glimpse of challenges faced by mentally disabled persons.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $25 for VIP, which gives preferred seating and complimentary refreshments prior to the performance. Free valet parking is available for all patrons.
