After each character fills his destined part, they soon find that "happily ever afters" are not what they seem, and that every noble cause has its consequences. Stocked with a stellar cast of 12-18 year olds, “Into the Woods,” will enchant you with its spellbinding melodies, hypnotic lyrics, and mesmerizing tale.

“Into the Woods,” produced by Murfreesboro Little Theatre, will run at Patterson Park Community Theater Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Cannon County Arts Center presents Frankly My Dear…, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with 2 p.m. Sunday matinees through April 26.

In this hilarious, irreverent and mostly true new farce, movie mogul David O. Selznick, desperate for a hit, has already begun filming Gone with the Wind, but he needs a new script.

There is only one writer up to the task, the legendary Ben Hecht, but it turns out that he has never read the book. Regardless Selznick summons Hecht and director Victor Fleming to his office where they lock the doors, close the shades, and get to work.

On a diet of bananas and peanuts and guarded by Selznick’s super loyal secretary, Miss Peabody, the three men play all the central roles from Gone with the Wind, giving birth to a new script that becomes one of the most beloved films of all time.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults, and $8 for seniors, students or groups and may be purchased by calling the Arts Center box office at 615-563-(ARTS) 2787 or 1-800-235-9073. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.artscenterofcc.com.

The Arts Center Cafe is now open before all performances, so be sure and call in advance for our discounted dinner/show packages.
