Warmer temps return to midstate



From the National Weather Service in Nashville:

Following one of the coldest starts to any year on record, Middle Tennessee has started to thaw out.

Wednesday’s high temperature in Clarksville was 44 degrees while Crossville had 45 degrees and Nashville 42 degrees. Murfreesboro clocked in at 44 degrees.

High temperatures Thursday are expected to be near 50 degrees in Nashville. Murfreesboro should see 52 degrees with a high of 55 expected Friday.

The last time Nashville was in the 50s was back on Christmas Day when the high was 53 degrees.

The normal high of this time of year in Nashville is 54 degrees and the normal low is 27.
