The Rutherford County Resource Officers Association is looking to round up a few good partners for the 4th annual Special Needs Rodeo.
The rodeo is held each year in Miller Coliseum, specially for all the special needs students from Rutherford County Schools.
More than 700 students attended last year’s rodeo and received free transportation to and from the rodeo, lunch, horse rides and met with cowboys.
Sponsors are needed for this year’s event, which will be held March 13 and 14. Sponsorships are available at a wide variety of levels.
This the RCSROA presents the Lone Star Rodeo, a professional master in entertainment since 1949, as the rodeo entertainment.
Lone Star Rodeo was created in Marfa, Texas and moved to Tennessee with the Fowlkes family in 1949 when Preston Fowlkes, Sr. brought the sport of rodeo to the fans in the Southeast.
The cowboys now reside in Crofton, KY on their 660-acre ranch, but the family tradition of top-notch stock and competition, pageantry, and family entertainment remains.
The family commitment continues into the next generation with the entire family working side by side.
