Walter Jefferson Carder, age 76 of LaVergne, TN, died Saturday September 8, 2012. A native of West Union, WV, he was the son of the late Denzel Mason and Opal Lucille Pierce Carder.  Mr. Carder was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Billy, and Junior Carder.

Mr. Carder is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Stemple Carder; daughters, Elizabeth Denise poling and Amber Carder all of LaVergne, TN; sons, Sean McCue of Grafton, WV, Brian Carder of Nashville, TN, Jeffery Carder, Jason Pingley, and Isaac Poling all of LaVergne, TN; sisters, Mary Lou Casteel of Cleveland, OH, Betty Jean Butler of Florida, Nancy Schaffner of Columbus, OH , Kathy Taylor of Laurel Valley, WV, and Shirley Roy of Grafton, WV; 15 grandchildren  and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at LaVergne Church of Christ. Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Friday at LaVergne Church Christ with Brother Jerry Barber and Brother Batsel Spivey officiating.. Burial will be at a later date in the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
