Why are you running? I am running to address the apparent corruption and abuse in the assessors office. I’m going to conduct realistic and honest appraisals based on actual fair market values; reopen lines of communication with the community and create a work environment that is professional and free from fear and abuse.
Anyone who has either worked with or for me during my entire professional career knows I always have their back. My clients know that too and that’s why they voted me the best insurance agent in Nashville. I’ll have your back too when elected property assessor.
When it’s all said and done, isn’t that the type of person you want in office?
The person that determines how much you are going to pay in taxes should be a man you can trust. I won’t take advantage of the farmers or the taxpayers. I won’t give special deals to as has been done in the past.
What is the most pressing issue facing Rutherford County Assessor of Property’s Office and your possible solution? Mitchell said his plans for managing the assessor’s office are:
1. Conduct honest professional appraisals of Tax Payers property that reflects the true value of their property without special interest influence.
2. Listen to the tax payers of this County and reopen lines of communication, which have been missing in the last four years.
3. Provide the employees of this office a place to work without retribution or fear.

Why are you running?
To make sure everyone in the county is treated fair and equal when it comes to property assessments.
What is the most pressing issue facing Rutherford County Assessor of Property’s Office and your possible solution?
The most pressing issue is making sure all property in the county is reviewed and all aspects of the property are listed correctly in the assessor’s records in order to treat everyone the same.
My solution is to take advantage of technology such as aerial photographs and street view photos of property.
By using these tools and working closely with the State of Tennessee I will make sure all state guidelines are met everyone is treated fair and equal.
