The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is now seeking Loaned Executives for fall 2011.
A Loaned Executive is a volunteer or appointed employee who will assist United Way during the campaign months on either a part-time or full-time basis. The Loaned Executive program provides a great opportunity for employees at area companies to develop leadership skills, establish professional connections, and make a lasting investment in their community.
The success of United Way is not possible without the support from volunteers within the community, such as Loaned Executives. With the support of Loaned Executives, United Way is able to keep overhead costs low, allowing a higher percentage of each donor’s dollar to be invested back into the community. Loaned Executives serve as account managers and United Way advocates. Loaned Executives also become more educated about community issues through their experience.
“My experience as a LE was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. It gave me the ablity to utilize the skills learned in my current career and put it to use for a great cause,” said Courtney Chavez of SunTrust Investment Services.
Those interested in becoming a Loaned Executive, or companies who wish to provide a Loaned Executive, should contact Kristen Hampton at kristen.hampton@uwrutherford.org no later than July 8. More information about the Loaned Executive program is available at www.uwrutherford.org.
